Happy days...

We had the so-called *farewell to first semester* party today...quite fun I would say. We had Jonathan making speech, then Priya sang, and then Jonathan sang! Then we had the photo session [as always]. We celebrated Mr. Siva's birthday. Jo Weng made us a mocha cheesecake...sent me straight to heaven [had to come back, since my exams are on Saturday]. He said next semester he's going to make blueberry cheesecake! *Frowns* I love blueberries! I love them so much I refuse to share any with anyone in my family/other people who come to the house [I'm stingy, well to a certain extent, that is...I don't like to share certain things with people]! I live for blueberries...and yeah, the Cadbury's Blueberry Flavoured chocolate is heavenly...*drools* I'm in love with them. Sends you to heaven and back...chocolates are good, you know? And I'm not saying it because I'm using it to justify the fact I eat chocolates because I'm addicted. It's because it has been proven medically! So people, eat chocolates!

I went to pay my last respects to Uncle Ah Loy today. I saw his body in the coffin...he looks so peaceful. It felt as though he was one with God. Very sad to see him go...Bless his soul, wherever it may be.

And I found this interesting piece of news on Frank Lampard. His secret of success...

FRANK LAMPARD today reveals the sleepy secret behind his sensational run of 160 consecutive Premiership games.

The Chelsea midfielder, 27, reckons rest, rest and more rest is the key behind his record sequence.

Lampard, who broke goalkeeper David James' old mark of 159 games yesterday, said: "I have found the right recipe - hard training and hard rest in between.

"I have my methods in the way I train, the way I eat and the way I live. I really make sure I don't over-exert myself between games.

"With my free time, I go home and get my feet up as much as possible. What I do is I train hard on certain days and take my foot off the gas on other days.

"That's why there isn't one special thing that has kept me going - a combination of things have made it possible.

"Diet is important but that would not matter if I didn't get enough sleep.

"I'm quite experienced now and I know what aspects of my life are important. Of course, I have
been lucky with injuries and I thrive on playing regularly.

"But when I have time off, I make the most of it and make sure I stay in shape."

And the England hero has not even let the birth of four-month-old daughter Luna interfere with his sleep pattern.

He said: "Luckily, she's been sleeping through a lot but when she doesn't I have to sleep in another room and let the missus deal with it. I know how important sleep is for me and sometimes I will need a sleep in the afternoon as well - it's all important. But I'm really proud of my appearance record. It's been a long time coming but now I want to extend it as far as possible.
HAPPY
"The most important thing, though, is to be playing all these games with a team that is winning things. The record is just something special that goes with that."

It has been Lampard's durability which, in the eyes of Jose Mourinho, separates him from the rest of the game's top stars.

The Blues boss believes Lampard should be named World Player of the Year but the midfielder admitted: "I'm just happy that my name has been mentioned alongside the best.

"I have no aspirations to win the World Player or the Year - I'm just pleased I'm in the mix. I have worked hard to get there and I intend to stay there too."

Lampard also wants to reach the top in Europe after Liverpool wrecked the Blues' European dream in the semifinals of the Champions League last season. Both clubs have qualified for the knockout stages from the same group this time so there is little riding on next week's final Group G clash - yet Lampard sees it differently.

He said: "It's important for us. Our aim at the start of the season was to top the group - and we still want to.

"Liverpool are a good team. We always have battles against them - and always enjoy it.

"We know they will be determined to get a result this time. We just have tomake sure we want it more."

Lampard certainly does. He added: "You have to win the Champions League to be a truly great side because it is such a hard thing to do. We are desperate to win it because we have got so close before, losing twice in the semis.

"I have the utmost respect for Arsenal but not winning the Champions League will always be held against them.

"You can't say that about Manchester United and Liverpool - and that's why we want to win it as soon as possible."

Oh dear...now we know the truth about the *sound sleeper* thing [his house got robbed, and he was fast asleep!]. I'm like him...seriously! If I don't get sleep, I can't get work done, and I'm as cranky as cranky can be. I need sleep, including afternoon sleep. If not...work cannot be done, I get cranky, and people get mad with my high level of crankiness. Sleep IS vital. For me and him. Hehe...And he has been shortlisted into the top three of the FIFA WORLD PLAYER OF THE YEAR award, alongside Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o! *Jaw drops to the floor* alongside those two? You have got to be kidding me...where's Henry? He really ought to be there...I have great respect for Henry. Feels really flattering to be up there with those two. What am I saying? I'm talking as though I AM FRANK LAMPARD! Sometimes I wonder, if he's not human, if he was actually a robot, or probably a machine running on either DURACELL or even ENERGIZER batteries. Since he looks INVINCIBLE. In fact, I should rephrase that: HE IS INVINCIBLE! I have weird thoughts fuelled into my head. All the time.

And usually, if ever we visit a house where a funeral is going to take place, and when we return home, my dad makes us wash our hands, face and legs before we enter the house, and we must put the clothes we wore when we went to the funeral house for washing immediately. Some tradition we believe in, don't ask me what it is. And my mother asked my dad: *Handphone also must wash ah?*... *blinks* my mother IS weird. She just loves asking VERY, VERY, VERY STUPID QUESTIONS. Then again, she's my mother and I love her, regardless of how stupid her questions may be.

*Bluesy* out...have to catch up with my studies. See you around soon!
